After 3Com's purchase of Chipcom, I took on a Program Management/Liaison role in France for a year to manage technical, marketing, and support for a joint development project with IBM. I also worked as a demo/presentation marketing engineer traveling around the world to present 3Com solutions to both internal and external customers.
Started at Chipcom as a hardware development engineer; then moved onto managing the product and test groups. Created, hired and managed the Sustaining Engineering group to work closely with customer support to identify and fix problems in the field.
Coming out of college I specialized in high frequency, RF design as a hardware electronic engineer. After working for DEC and then Applitek, I spent 5 years running my own printed circuit board design and consulting company, ESG.
