MindRover(TM) Gold Rush!

Acton, MA CogniToy(TM) announced today that they have released the first new, free, add-on scenario for MindRover: The Europa Project. This scenario, called 'Gold Rush', was designed by gonegold.com readers.

In MindRover, you are given the tools to program their own mini-rovers. You start with an empty chassis and a variety of components, then wire them together to give the vehicle intelligence. These robots then compete on their own in races, sports, or battles against the computer or against your friends (or enemies).

In 'Gold Rush' you must program a greedy robot to collect as many jewels as possible while making sure the other guy doesn't steal yours. There are as many strategies for winning this scenario as there are people who play MindRover.

CogniToy will be holding a contest for 'Gold Rush' in the upcoming weeks. "It's amazing how enthralled people get in the competitions that we hold", remarked Ike Adams, Webmaster and Game Developer, "There's something so thrilling about sending your robot off to battle."

The 'Gold Rush' scenario is available at the downloads page of the MindRover website. The full game, MindRover, can be purchased at the website as well: www.mindrover.com. In addition, the site hosts discussion forums, news, downloads and links to fan sites. There is also a free demo available to try out the game before buying it.

Headquartered in Acton, Massachusetts, CogniToy is a privately funded developer and publisher of computer games that engage the brain as well as the hands. The company motto is "Intelligent Toys for Intelligent Minds." MindRover was one of 15 finalists in the 1999 Independent Games Festival.
