CogniToy(TM) partners with Into Networks to deliver MindRover(TM) over Broadband
Acton, MA -- May 11, 2000, CogniToy, makers of the robot strategy game, MindRover: The Europa Project, today announced a partnership with Into Networks for distribution of their game over broadband networks. Broadband cable subscribers with access to the PlayNow.com software-on-demand service will be able to rent or subscribe to MindRover with the click of a mouse.
MindRover is a game where you compete your custom autonomous robots to compete in races, battles, and sports. These vehicles can then be traded with friends via email or uploaded to competitions at various websites, including CogniToys.
Subscribers of the PlayNow.com service can rent MindRover for a few days at a time or as part of a monthly subscription service. "This is a particularly good distribution model for MindRover," remarked Kim Quirk, "because it is a game that you can keep coming back to over time."
