CogniToy(tm) Offers D3D solution for MindRover(tm)
Acton, MA -- September 8, 2000 -- CogniToy's acclaimed robot sim/strategy game, 'MindRover:The Europa Project', is now capable of running on hardware accelerated Direct 3D. The latest version of MindRover, v1.06, includes GLDirect(TM), a graphics driver technology from SciTech Software that enables openGL applications to use Microsoft Direct3D drivers.
"Our first version of MindRover requires 3D hardware acceleration with openGL drivers. Many people had trouble getting openGL drivers for their cards and the quality of the drivers is still not there for many vendors", stated Kim Quirk, CEO. "Most hardware accelerators come with Microsoft Direct3D drivers and we believe many more people will be able to run MindRover with this new feature."
MindRover is a computer game that lets you create and compete autonomous robotic vehicles. There are battles, races, and sports arenas for competing against your friends or the opponents provided.
